There's nothing like children playing for natural and spontaneous photos! However, when they are younger, it's best to have the session at your home (I travel throughout the Île-de-France region, by metro or RER at no extra charge). A few days or a few weeks after the birth, it's up to you to choose, based on your schedule and how tired you are. In any case... I'm not in a rush with newborns: I adapt to your pace, I take my time, and if there's a need to wait a few minutes for a diaper change or a bottle, I'll wait as long as necessary! That's why the session can last more or less time... your little one sets the pace!
